In order to improve our service and reduce the load on the existing German server (de1.hideipvpn.com), we have added a new server, de2.hideipvpn.com, located in Nürnberg. We allow P2P/torrent traffic on this server as well.

In order to start using the new German (DE2) server you need to perform the following settings:

  • PPTP Connection: follow the tutorials for PPTP setup and use de2.hideipvpn.com as host.
  • OpenVPN connection: download the following config file and place it in the same folder as it is described in the OpenVPN setup tutorial or just update the OpenVPN config files from here.
  • L2TP/IPSec Connection for Windows users: follow the tutorials for L2TP/IPsec setup and use de2.hideipvpn.com as host.
  • Proxy: use de2.hideipvpn.com as proxy address and 81 as the port. Then  setup up your browser: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome or Safari.
