How to: D-Link router bypass Google DNS

This tutorial will guide you how to bypass Google DNS on D-Link router.

1. Log in to your router

2. Go to “Advanced” section and select “Routing” tab

3. Add to route list the following :

Name : google dns 1

Gateway : your router’s IP

Name : google dns 2

Gateway : your router’s IP

Metric : 2

Destination IP: 8.8.4.4 Netmask : 255.255.255.255

And then click on “save Settings”

4. Reboot your router.

From now on, your router will re-direct every Google DNS queries for the Google IPs (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.) to your Routers default DNS IPs.
