Last year, in March we have announced that we will be supporting Google Wallet on our website in order to make purchases easier and safer for you. Today, not even a year from that date we are forced to shut id down.
Google Wallet is a payment system similar to PayPal. It stores your credit card or debit card details so that when you pay for goods or service online you do not have to share this sensitive data with any third party, like us. However we got a message form Google, that they will no longer support API for “digital goods”. This means that no transactions for services like VPN or Smart DNS will be processed after 2nd of March this year.
[…] we are retiring the “Google Wallet for digital goods” API. Other Google Wallet offerings (including Google Wallet Instant Buy, the Google Wallet app and support for Google marketplaces) will not be impacted. Learn more
According to our records, you are still using the “Google Wallet for digital goods” API to accept payments on your website.
On March 2nd, 2015, we will stop processing transactions, including any subscriptions. […]
We want to ensure that all our customers have a constant access to their favourite VPN and SmartDNS services. Since some of you opted for a monthly payments you need to know that from 2nd of March you will no longer be able to pay this way and your package will not get renewed.
We strongly advise to look for an alternative method of payment. Currently Hide IPVPN accepts following methods:
PayPal, Bitcoin, Credit & Debit cards, AliPay, Web Money, Yandex Money, Boleto Bancario, Qiwi.
We hope that you will be able to choose system that will suit your needs. if you have suggestions what other systems we could implement – let us know and we will look into the subject.
Now, if you have any questions in regard of your payment method, feel free to contact our support and we will explain in detail how you can update your payment method.
We are truly sorry for any inconvenience but as you see it has nothing to do with our own policy.
